Hybrid2Go was started in 2020 by Xavier Fajardo in San Luis Obispo, CA after seeing how badly hybrid owners were being squeezed by dealership pricing. Five years later we're a team of 50+ technicians, we operate a multi-million dollar reconditioning facility, and we've installed batteries for 11,000+ customers across 16 states.
How we recondition a battery.
A reconditioned pack should drive like a new one. That only happens if every step is done by people who do this every day — not as a side hustle.
Inspect
Every pack we receive gets opened, tested module-by-module, and graded against new spec. Cells outside spec are pulled. Anything past its useful life goes back to the recycler — never into a customer's car.
Build
We rebuild with matched, load-tested cells and replace consumable components like the BMS sense leads and bus bars. Pack-level upgrades for known weak points (Prius Gen 2 fan, anyone?) are done as part of the build, not as an upsell.
Test
The reassembled pack is run through a full discharge / charge cycle that mirrors real driving. We don't ship a pack that hasn't held its target capacity through that cycle. Period.
